1. Introduction

Saboner Technologies OÜ (owner of Refuerzo.ai) is committed to making its website accessible in accordance with Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 October 2016, on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies, and with WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines.

This accessibility statement applies to the website https://refuerzo.ai and all of its subpages, including the platform's private area.

2. Compliance Status

This website is Fully compliant with Directive (EU) 2016/2102 and WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines, with the sole exception noted in section 3.2 (disproportionate burden) and the content in section 3.3 that falls outside the scope of applicable legislation.

3. Non-Accessible Content

3.1 Non-compliance with Directive (EU) 2016/2102

Currently not applicable. All non-compliances detected in previous internal audits have been resolved.

3.2 Disproportionate Burden

• Handwritten signature capture in the stylus/finger input method (drawing canvas): not operable via keyboard (WCAG criterion 2.1.1). Adapting this component for keyboard navigation would require redesigning the biometric capture of the student's stroke, which is essential for AI grading, representing a disproportionate burden under Article 5 of Directive (EU) 2016/2102. An accessible alternative is available: students can respond using text, photo, or file upload input methods, which offer equivalent functionality.

3.3 Content outside the scope of applicable legislation

• Math formulas rendered with KaTeX include accessible MathML for compatible screen readers. Some older screen readers may not read the expected mathematical phrasing; this is due to limitations of the assistive technology and not the published content.
• Images uploaded by students themselves as exercise responses do not include descriptive alt text: they are temporary user-generated content meant for immediate evaluation, and the system cannot generate reliable alt text. They are part of the learning workflow, not published content.

4. Preparation of This Accessibility Statement

This statement was first prepared on May 20, 2026 and updated to Fully compliant status on May 20, 2026 following the resolution of non-compliances identified in the initial internal audit.

The method used to prepare this statement was a self-assessment conducted by the organization itself, using automated tools (axe, Lighthouse) and manual review of the source code, keyboard navigation, and screen reader compatibility.

6. Enforcement procedure

Refuerzo.ai is committed to reviewing this statement annually and publishing the relevant updates. The disproportionate burden exception (section 3.2) will be re-evaluated during each annual review in light of advances in the accessibility of handwriting capture components.
